I recently took part in a research with Gingerbread on single parents and the potential barriers they face that might prevent them to progress in their careers.
The research highlights the main issues single parents living in London experience with in work progression including; childcare costs, lack of flexibility, working part time, time out of work and how education affects job roles.
The research also makes key recommendations based on the findings and calls on the Government to make changes to childcare costs, working patterns and support for single parents with tailored work schemes.
